This novel deserves five stars just for the imperial family. A wise emperor who is not narrow minded, wants to nurture the younger generation over clinging to his power, and is actually faithful in love.... an empress who doesn't seem petty or too engaged in intrigue and gets along well with the favoured concubine and her son, the badass concubine who leaves the emperor hanging.... Even the the attempts of a certain prince to amass power are treated with ridicule instead of wariness... this is the first time I have... more>> read a c novel of this type whose royals actually deserve to rule and don't make me feel disgusted. All the other wonderful aspects of the novel do not need further commendation because they must have surely been brought up in the other reviews... still.... kudos to the wonderful girlfriend gang, the adorable mother and brother of the MC and the synergy and sheer compatibility with the ML.... His type is often taken too far and turned into a possessive jerk so I'm enjoying the harmonious and non- toxic relationship depicted here....

I suppose I am obligated to mention that her pharmacy is a total deus ex machina and the stupidly disgusting and annoying family members are aplenty... but at least her backstory of being a military doctor with a traditional medicine background or whatever is a decent enough excuse for possessing medical and combat skills.... unlike all the OP assassin ladies who possess an astounding knowledge of herbs and acupuncture and cultivation and traditional instruments.... anyway this fic is worth putting up with all the cliches because it doesn't frustrate you to death when you read.... <<less

The tropes are all there, but the writing is good and not unreasonable. Best black belly story of all top rated transmigration stories.

The MC is rational and don't create unnecessary trouble. She strives for her mother and brother and is good to the people who at least try to be good to her also.

The story isn't as masturbatory as other black belly stories, men don't fall at her feet, the only love interest is the ML. She also doesn't try to revolutionize anything despite her cheat and expertise, she keeps... more>> to herself but helps those who need help.

There are gray and neutral characters and basically all the characters have dimensions in them and don't exist as canon fodders. The story works with logical sense.

The pacing is perfect and knows when to offer and delay tension in the story, a rare quality in web novels. There is, surprisingly, a literary awareness. <<less

This girl grab all the good background and plotarmor to start a novel. Enough said! If this novel still goes wrong... just grab and beat the author to halfdead for his incompetence writing!

Before the review, awesome translations. Kudos to the translation team!

The plot so far is similar to other novels with female MCs so I won't say much since there are too few chapters. What I want to point out is how much I hate how useless the mother is. It makes me furious to read that women of 'that time' tend to be weak-willed (well, when it comes to the MCs mother). So yah, if you're annoyed by that, it's there. The MC has also met the ML and again, similar... more>> interaction as with the other novels. So far, it's still a fun read. I enjoy anything that has a female MC since there are fewer of those being translated. <<less

I have absolutely fallen in love with this tale and as such can not express my gratitude enough for the trouble of translation!

So let's get down to a review, as I can honestly state this story is amazing, however this is only the case if you enjoy endless political rebutes and the cornering of the Feng family through what appears on the out side, as a twelve year old girl. This girl however has the spirit of a 29 year old from the future. (trying to give detail without spoilers!)... more>>

Feng Yu Heng is the main famale protagonist and is one that is simply not easily trampled.... as well as having the most beloved prince of the emperor to back her up and romantic interest. It's a very fast paced read and also one that is hard to put down. As such it has taken me two days to get to the updated chapter and I shall continue to follow what comes next! <<less

It’s a cookie cutter story of a transmigrated female main character. It’s not much to say for now as there’re only 30ish chapters when I reviewed it.

The template goes like this :

Female MC (in this one she was a military medical officer died in explosion).

... more>> Promise for revenge in name of the original soul.

Magical space (in this one is an office full of medical items and equipments).

Fallen/low position in the family.

Forced engagement to disabled prince.

Royal intrigues/Evil relatives schemes.

I personally like a transmigrated female story so the story is still enjoyable for me even if it’s done in a cookie cutter way although I’m kinda tired reading the growing herbs magical space so this magical space a bit more interesting since it looks like she will continue her medical stint using modern way. <<less

Quite different from similar wuxia novels, I was surprised that the one who played the role of the “evil stepmother” turns out to be a fat, haughty woman. Really, that shocked me. Usually the roles were given to the beautiful and smart woman who uses her cunning and vicious wits to attack the protagonist, all the while protecting their daughter.

However, in Divine Doctor: Daughter of the Forst Wife, this “evil stepmother” is not only fat and arrogant, but she is also stupid and provokes trouble always, and doesn't even care about her image! Instead, it was her daughter, Feng Chen Yu, who is much wiser than her mother and has unluckily suffered from cleaning after her mother's mess everytime.

For now, there weren't much interactions between the MC and the ML. I'm dreading the thoughts that they'll only meet up again after three years, when the MC – Feng Yu Heng – will be married to him. Oh, please don't.

I really am looking forward for more interactions between the two since I haven't had any big impression from the Male Lead. The story portrays him to be a somewhat rebellious (by the way that he doesn't follow the rules) and peerless genius. But his interactions with the MC, especially the part where he was intrigued with the spray bottle, is very cute and I love his curious side. I'm excited to find out more of his sides!

The story is very enjoyable and the translator is doing a great job and very satisfied with the update consistency. For the female lead character is just remaind me of Chu Wang Fei and Princess Medical Doctor. She has a strong personality as the main character in transmigration novel should have usually. She has some skills and some tempers, very likeable. For male lead character is so far so good and interactions between main characters are pretty good. Thank you writer and translator for a good story to enjoy.

So far its been a very nice read.

The horrible (or all encompassing) synopsis doesn't do it justice at all.
So far it's been something like a combination of "Chu Wang Fei" and
"The Rebirth of the malicions empress of military lineage".

The face-slaps/word-fights are very good.
Oh, and the ML has been rather doting so far.

I'm not really good at writing review, to thousands novels that I've read if I remember correctly I only write 3,

But this one is really good novel, the romance I's nice and slow but when they meet it's always fluffy and funny that you can't help but smile.. （＾ｖ＾）..

The fighting, well for me it's good too especially when they fight with words it's a pleasure when her enemies can't fight back because she's really good at that. ≪ (‾︶‾) >..

Have to admit that this was better then I expected, however I'm not too interested in the story right now. it feels kind of bland cause right now she is still a kid and the ML has only made two appearances. So i'll come back to read this when they meet again....

ended up skipping a couple chapters.....

The story is good and interesting. Your typical transmigration story where the MC possessed some space cheat. The romance is so so. Im currently at chapter 50 and theres still no romantic interaction between the two main character yet. But you can actually see that the main lead is helping the MC because he knows what kind of living the MC is experiencing at the household.

Other than that, I actually love this novel.

It is a transmigration story with all the usual cliches but it is done well. This girl is witty without being overboard and actually in line with the time period mannerisms and (fictional) culture. ML doesnt have much of a showing as of yet but we can already have a feel for future plotting as he was supposed to be crown prince but he got injured (imperial shenanigans anyone?) ; MCs elder sister wants to be empress so her and her family will have to back another prince... dun dun... more>> dun!I actually want to know what she will do, this is actually one that I would put at the top ten of its genre for the decent writing and wonderful translation. <<less
