I would give this a 3/5 stars max.

1. The MC is a really competent guy in the beginning of the story where he wouldn't let anyone insult him or take avdantage of him and he was a good main character but in the 100~ chapters where he meets these girls and all of a sudden he turns into a sissy. Everytime he meets them he let's them ridicule him and insult him to the point that almost half of the chapter is them just laughing and insulting MC.

2. The MC's friend and team members. Firstly the bff of MC, he is akin to a dog whose been trapped in a car in a summer day everytime he meets the girls and instead of covering for his friend he agrees with the girls that whatever the MC doing is bad or that the MC should agree with the Girls becuase they are beatutiful and therefore always right. But that's not a big thing because they don't meet often and it doesn't happen often either, it's the teammates that don't have any self-confident at all despite having been with the MC and having seen what MC is capable of. They ridicule themselves that they don't have any good things or aren't as good while they literally have gears on par with the elite of major Guilds and they've cleared a Hell mode dungeon, instead they just swallow any humiliation that is directed towards them.

3. The worst character that the author could have created is that f****** Zhao Yueru who always hangs around Gentle Snow. Instead of being on the good side she should be put on the bad side or a changed into a villain because that suits here far better.

A really good VRMMO, I've already read so much novels in these past 3 years and had only considered this novel as a cliche just like any other, trying to pass my boredom and perhaps find some good moments. Well it actually has pretty consistent plot with hot-blooded situations, definitely worth reading :)

The story was nice in the beginning, but it just get bad the further you read.

Firstly, the MC gets way OP as the story goes by. It's was OK if it was PVP, but against monsters tooo?

For example, he introduced a monster that in the past life needed over thousands of people with levels way over him to kill. And he managed to kill the monsters at low levels with a team fewer than a thousand. How can lvl a team of level 40s and 50s kill a mob when thousands of lvl 100s are needed.

And this cycle alway repeats, he found something good, guild wars ensues, he uses his hidden card and win. He goes farming, meet insane monsters, get something good, guild wars ensue, he use another hidden card newly found.

And his drop is insane, alway getting whatever he needs at the right time.

The story just get repetitive and ridiculous as it progresses.

and the crafting, at first it was you can only use one blueprint per person, as the story progresses, one blueprint can be learnt by multiple people

And the underground fighting, it's like the author just chuck it aside, then decide to bring it back as and when he likes it.

I cant belive there is so many people that read more than 1000 chapters of this novel its such a mess with so many better ones of this type.

What is the worst part is the so call Godness Snow that looks like its the main herione this character pretty much ruin the novel for me if you can pass her then this is novel becames a little better.

Now my problem with her is how the MC keep bringing her into the plot when she could be a disaster for him,... more>> because she is a horrible player that is super rich and arogant that destroy anyone that don`t play ball with her and our MC for no reason at all keeps her very close to him.

We all know how this novels work so it makes no sense this force romance. When I read this novels I want a good game, good loots, a team of likeble characters and the MC going to zero to hero but here we have a broken game that can criple your acc with absurd gears, weapons and quests that can criple your acc like 50% less stats if fail quest, a terrible cast of players that call each other noob just because they are 1 level above you and a foolish MC revealing his impossible to know knowlege to a extreme arrogant woman that can give him not only a game over but maybe even some jail time for knowling so much. <<less

It's good, just a little slow and the real life part gets less and less as the novel goes on which is a bit disappointing for me. As one can see the MC is pretty overpowered, but is luckily not invincible. Even with 1800 chapters the role of the female interest is still open, because somehow all of the girls have a good impression on him but nothing further. If you are interested in VR Novels I can highly recommend this one to you as it has a really realistic and unique setting, the only fault I have with this novel is, that the author is a bit forgetful and sometimes implements things that he will later neglect.

I would give this novel 4 stars, but because I think that the current rating does the novel injustice I gave it 5. (Highly recommend it if you are bored :3)

It's a typical Gary Stu story where the protagonist not only has all the knowledge of a time looper, but also all the luck of a CN protagonist, and plot armor thicker than Mt. Tai. It's best if you go in expecting him to be unreasonably awesome at everything, and for him to receive rewards that are far greater than the amount of effort he put in to get them.

In general, things will always go the MC's way, and if it looks like they're not for one or two sentences,... more>> then you should just read the third sentence because things will be going his way again by then if it's not the end of the chapter. If it is the end, then you should probably skip the first third of the next chapter as it'll be irrelevant people explaining why the MC is screwed. Once they're done, he'll roflstomp whatever the problem is, humiliate anyone in the area that was mildly unfriendly to him in the past, gain an unrealistic degree of admiration from any named character in the vicinity and the shock and adulation of the crowd before the story, if you can call it that, can move on.

It's not as bad as Rebirth of the Thief or Zhang Long, but that's honestly a very low bar. Read it if you've got nothing better to do, you've read all the much better novels out there with a similar premise, and you're absolutely desperate for more, regardless of quality. <<less

With only 20 chapters released it is always hard to gauge the quality of the writing, the plot and characters. While it is blatantly obvious that the story has taken parts from Sword Art Online along with the image which I think is stupid but on an overall it is pretty similar to most other VRMMORPG story's around with the usual Chinese influence. However this doesn't mean that the story itself is bad, the author has at least made an attempt to put a newer perspective on certain ideas. Those... more>> familiar with SAO's second season where Kiritio earned like 300000 gold from the untouchable game, a similar scenario is in this but rather it's the gnomes game and it's cash reward is far smaller along with a skill book for the MC for the first clear. The major Characters are actually quite well developed and you can grasp their temperments from the way the novel is written, the only thing I think is silly is the misuse of the reincarnation term. Reincarnation implies life after death, in the novel the MC doesn't die but just goes to bed drunk and wakes up young. That for me was the only real negative as it is simply a lazy and poor plot device to start the story that a lot of reincarnation stories use and even then I don't really think this is a reincarnation story. Just think of it as more the MC know the special locations where he can get a headstart than the other players. But on an overall I have really enjoyed it and all those negative ratings are from people who hate the fact that it has used some ideas from SAO.

thats all from me so peace out. <<less

The start was decent but it went all over the place after a few hundred chapters.

The story became a cycle of clichés, after he founded a guild, everything his guild gain threatens the interests of the bigger guilds or rich entities, then they will have a war or contest, the people would comment that his guild will lose, his guild will win the fight with him facerolling his opponents, then everyone would praise him and there will be sudden influx of people trying to join his guild.

Then a new big... more>> guild or rich financial group would appear and the cycle continues. The funny thing is every time his guild competes with other guilds, people would always comment about not having confidence in his guild winning the fight.

This cycle happened numerous times already and I don't think I can continue reading this, knowing that it will still happen a thousand times more. After all I'm already chapter 811 and he's still level 39, only having finished his first class advancement. Imagine how many times this cycle would continue until he reaches 4rd class/order advancement like in his past life or the last 6th class/order advancement which is godhood.

His assets are also mostly only inside the game (and his in-game currency making power is high compared to top guilds), the only investment he made in reality was a studio that they already vacated and several game capsules, though he used quite a lot of expensive real life strengthening medicines already.

If you like an endless cycle of slow-paced cliché that it's almost impossible to see the end, then this novel is for you. 811 chapters and the game is still at its early stages. <<less

So far, so good.

It's a far more enjoyable story which is comparable to stories like Zhan Long in that it is focused more on the game rather than the recurring motive of revenge of stories like Emporer of Solo Play.

This story is far more focused on the action and light-hearted drama that ensues due to the OPness of the MC. And for that, each chapter leaves you smiling.

It's a good read for what it says it's supposed to be.

I've read 95%+ of the raws so I think I have pretty good idea of what this novel is like.

World building: The in game world is way more extensive, balanced, and engaging than any other. This and the huge guild conflicts are the only reason and good enough of the reason to read this.

Game Mechanics: Players would never be able to completely experience everything even if given a lifetime, because anything you want in real life exists in game. They can fight and grind, taking 10 years to get to... more>> the top tier of level 200 or 250, smith armor, cook delicacies, maintain a business, etc. There's an actual dark camp of players that are ruthless player killers and cause all sorts of trouble. There is a main story and world events that are triggered only when players do a specific action or enter a certain area.

Balance: Currency seems more balanced than other game novels. Even though the protagonist seems to be nearly always richer and has a higher income than those top tier enemy guilds that are always purchasing gold, he is always running into budget problems, never able to fund every single project he can build. Enemy guilds are not going to be 10 levels on average lower than the protagonist's guild even though he holds all the knowledge of best leveling spots and strategies. The OP weapon the protagonist holds has repercussions, anything good will have a high cost. Also, rare things are actually rare. The protagonist might have the guild either be forced to obtain first clears or actually lead hundreds/thousands of people to grind an area a whole day for few drops. Hidden classes are actually rare as heck and broken but since all fights are guild fights, they are beatable.

Characters have absolutely no personality. Enemies are 100% vicious and selfish, subordinates are 100% obedient and hardworking. No in-between at all. They even say the same things. If not for the different tasks players were given previously, names could be switched around and we wouldn't notice.

Writing is repetitive. Before a fight, everyone thinks the enemy is better even after 100% win rate against several guilds supposedly dozens of times stronger and richer. Every single time some new tide-changing equip/weapon/item is revealed during guild fights, someone comments "So that's xxx's true ace/power" + "haha, they revealed all their cards now, we can deal with them now" even though the protagonist keeps showing new stuff like every two minutes.

Slow paced book. The game leading to the protagonist's pre-reincarnation level took 10 years. Even though the new timeline has game events updating several times earlier, the book probably won't end without like 6-8k or even more chapters...

No/ slow romance. All except one of the vice-guild leaders are all beautiful girls, but no romance in sight. I suspect that there might be something going on with the protagonist's classmate though. <<less

A very cliche second chance work. Light read, nothing serious

There happened to be many things I hate in this work that are commonly found in most works, so just a short rant.

He have the convenience of forgetting about his bloody parents after brief mentions of them in the early chapters, even though they are supposed to be his motivation and scenes about him in RL is non-existence in latest chapters.

Plus side, MC is overpowered but not omnipotent, much. Actions everywhere so much so that you can forget about some as they pile up then have some pop right back in your face after a couple of chapters.

Also, as quoted by the MC himself, he has the ability to cause betrayal happening in the guilds/parties he is working with, lots of bs later, MC saves the f-king day.

Lets be honest, GIRL is Guy In Real Life.

I really wanted to continue this story but I had to drop it when he was fighting this assassin he was deep in this territory which he had to buy a special item to hide his life force and they even explained that assassins ability couldn't hide from the monsters so how in the hell did this guy know to prepare and use a item like that in this I presume high level territory because the MC had to pass level 15 areas to get there that no one else should have been to yet and somehow still slip away from the MC without dying that's some BS when this guy was introduced he was in a bar chilling having fun how could he be able to reach a high enough level to even be a threat when he was so relaxed taking kill orders personally instead of having someone else do it, also the MC experience of ten years means nothing to a guy playing this "revolutionary game" for the first time...

Sorry had to get that out I was just so mad that I couldn't not say something.

(Also I may have missed a lot of things I kinda have bad eyesight and a.d.d bad combo trying to read)

Imo some of its story is somewhat similar to rebirth of the thief who roamed the world; especially the scene where the MC gave tips to a player and the meeting in where they were going to tackle a dungeon (especially the conditions the MC gave) but someone said something, anyways just read these two (rottwrtw and this novel). Nonetheless, its an interesting novel so far.

This is one of very good novel about mmorpg out there. If you like weed in LMS then you like this one too. I don't know why this novels's rating low but try it. Dont give low rating if you just barely read few chapter.

I think the story is the slow one but the world building is very good. I read it till 1800 ++ chapter but the level is low I think. Haha so try it few hundred chap then give solid review.

With only few chapters translated, its not easy to rate it but because of those unreasonable ratings, it doesnt mean this novel is bad. So far so good, we all know the early chapters has many introductions of side characters, enemies and allies but thats the way it is. I know some of the readers hate this novel, because theres no originality right? Another reincarnation novel where MC use his past as an advantage blah3x. I only want to recommend this novel for those who wants to kill time in... more>> their spare time. I hope this novel has ita own uniqueness midway. <<less

Decent story (as of latest chapter), no romance, no Chu Feng, what not to like? Well, what I really don't like is how the game really likes to give out buffs/debuffs measured in percentages, not numbers. Players in this game should already be killing mobs 20 levels higher, or solo lord bosses 10 levels higher...

My total score would be 4.5 because some part just really reminds you of rebirth of the thief (not sure which one is first tho). However I prefer this one over rebirth as the details are a bit better and you can see that the MC struggled a bit whenever he fight with boss monster even with his past knowledge.

The pace however is really slow, as of right now (ch115), only 3 to 4 days had just passed since the start of the game, and MC is just... more>> at lvl 7 which is also the highest lvl. However it is still enjoyable even with that slow level up as we can see that MC is doing everything he can in that 4 days to get as much money and rare quest reward as he can.

My advice is, if you like the rebirth genre, high chance you will like this one. Try giving this at least 10 to 20 chapters <<less

The only thing I liked is the overpowerness of the MC with his knowledge of 10 year of being a 3rd rate guild leader, still he can't cover all the OP items, kinda dislike that since the apex enemies are ganging up and MC guild isn't looking very good since his guild foundation is newly created compared to other superior rate guild that have foundation build over the years from other VR games. He training his elite members in a rare training area but if one of the member betray and exposed the area Superior rate guild will gang up and destroy MC guild for posing a threat just because of that rare area.

5 star simply because the novel has the best skill levels provided with the complexity of the A.I and the game plot,

also because the VR game developer is an A.I itself.

Fantastic story. Quite possibly the purest virtual reality story I've ever read. At least 90% of the chapters are about the game, and the remaining chapters in reality are for the sake of promoting the guild's overall development.

Disregard the naysayers if you have the ability to read beyond a few hundred chapters. The MC does become OP really quickly, but what I enjoyed about the novel was how skillfully the author fleshed out the overall system. There's design creations, stables, mounts, managing guilds, actual consequences for losing equipment, skill progression;... more>> all of this culminates to form a detailed virtual gaming world that the author really put a lot of thought into. Think of ROTSSG as a cross between Zhan Long and Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, with a more exhaustive gaming system than ZL and the system of professional life skill players like LMS. With the MC's fast progression the novel is quite easy to read, since most Chinese novels that go beyond the 1000+ mark lose momentum as the story progresses.

It's hard to judge the quality of a novel when there's barely a hundred chapters released, but I can guarantee that the overall consistency of this novel equals or even surpasses the likes of ISSTH. And even then I didn't really enjoy ISSTH. <<less

All the people who criticize the protagonist's luck and plot armor, I'm guessing that all of you are new to Asian novels and know nothing about it. Otherwise, how would ever like any of them. This novel is vey good for those that enjoy the genre. The translation is very good and the MC is OP but very clever as well. I assure you it'll be a good read as long as you're not going to do a marathon run with it, then you'll get bored after about 100ch or... more>> so. <<less

It's good. He's not obsessed with women, he occasionally has challenges to face, and compared to other novels it feels like it's own unique novel. That being said, there are many flaws. MC gets a bs mask that allows him to change his appearance and name (which, while feasible in a cultivation novel, is ridiculous for a virtual reality novel). MC also gets a rare, game breaking, OP sword, rare, game breaking, OP skills, etc. He's not as OP as the MC in Shura's Wrath, but still noticeably OP. It's... more>> not as gradual as Zhan Long (which is already pretty bad with making the MC OP), where the MC may get strong equipment and skills, but only for his level. Here, the MC gets end game type skills and equipment very early on which is what I find annoying. Frankly, this deserves a 3, but I'm in a generous mood so I'm giving it a 4 (primarily because he hasn't acted like a fool for women yet). <<less
